Biographical data

Chris Mowry is currently serving General Fusion as its Chief Executive Officer, bringing global energy industry leadership to the company during the important transition from lab-scale research to the pilot plant demonstration of its technology. With more than 30 years of experience in the global energy and infrastructure sectors, Mowry has led an exceptional portfolio of businesses, including those in the power, oil and gas, energy management, automation and process industries.

Prior to joining General Fusion, Mowry was the founder and CEO of the industry leading small modular reactor company Generation mPower, following roles as Chief Business Development Officer and division President of B&W Nuclear Energy for The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W). Before joining B&W, he was the President and Chief Operating Officer of WSI and spent 10 years with GE Energy in various management roles across their portfolio of international businesses. He also spent time with Exelon in power plant construction, engineering and operations.


Mowry’s career focus has remained on the commercialization of innovative clean-energy technologies. He earned a BS in Engineering and a BA in Astronomy from Swarthmore College, and a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. He holds numerous patents in advanced control systems for various energy technologies.
