LSI will conduct and fund applied R&D emerging from frontiers of physics and engineering as they apply to enabling fast interstellar transit.
Eagleworks: LSI will conduct R&D in laboratory facilities located near JSC exploring dynamic vacuum model.
I2 Grants: As part of the institute’s inauguration, LSI will be offering a series of research grants through the Interstellar Initiative Grants program.
Partner with universities to jointly pursue mutual areas of interest from the leading edge of power and propulsion related physics to enable human exploration of the stars.
I2 Fusion Consortium: work with universities, industry, local and federal government to establish fusion research consortium
I2 Fission Consortium: initiate effort with focus on developing micro-reactors (~1MWe power), and foster development of nuclear thermal propulsion systems.
I2 Breakthrough Consortium: pursue fundamental physics research on the dynamic vacuum and other foundational physics topics.

I2 Forever Hunting the Edge of the Map Awards: awards for high quality deep space exploration papers, tuition stipends, and minor interstellar studies of significant interest
COVID UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 issues, the Limitless Space Institute (LSI) is unable to host student interns during the summer of 2020. As an alternate approach to still be able to engage with students on the topic of bold space exploration, LSI will instead sponsor and conduct a student paper contest with the pinnacle objective of addressing the question of why – why human exploration of the outer solar system and on to the stars?
